Perth International Track Cycling Grand Prix

27 Nov

Well, here was a recent track cycling event that totally went under the radar which is quite a shame really ‘coz this had some sizzling track cycling action the likes of which the land down under hasn’t seen in months. The event which took place last November 21 at the Speedome had a surprisingly good turnout of cyclists with the electrifying presence of the German track cycling team who rode strongly as well as the solid Australian team though favorites such as Shane Perkins, and Jason Niblett were nowhere to be found. Cameron Meyer, and Scott Sunderland proved their skills once again with Luke Durbridge also proving to be a formidable track cyclist. Other notable performances include a strong performance by Germany’s Stefan Nimke, Robert Foerstemann, and Rene Enders, Netherland’s Teun Mulder and Yondi Schmidt, and Canada’s best track cyclist Zachary Bell.

Here’s a photo gallery pooled from different sources but the best ones come from Tony Lendrum, and RaceyImages.
